Microwave Therapy is a type of medical treatment that utilizes electromagnetic radiation in the microwave frequency range (typically 1$915 \text{ MHz}$ or 2$2450 \text{ MHz}$) to achieve therapeutic effects, primarily through the generation of localized heat within biological tissue.3

In physical therapy and rehabilitation (Diathermy), microwaves are used to heat deep-seated muscles and soft tissues, promoting blood flow, relaxing muscles, and accelerating healing.4 More recently, focused, low-power microwave energy is employed in specialized medical devices (like Swift) to treat cutaneous lesions (such as warts/verrucas) by rapidly heating the target cells without damaging the surrounding epidermal layers, thereby initiating a therapeutic immune response.
